Arts & Crafts
The Arts & Crafts marquee is one of the busiest corners of the site. It is open every day of the scheme, to every division, and something made there comes home in almost every bag on Friday.
What happens there
Each day brings a different make — painting, model-making, badge-making and big group projects, with volunteers on hand at every table. Playscheme Pottery runs in the marquee all week, so there is always something to shape, paint and take home.
Every age, their own way
Infants come with their groups for simpler, messier makes; Major League and Teenz take on the bigger projects — including costumes and decorations for Wednesday afternoon's Carnival.
Paint and glue happen. Send children in clothes that can survive them — aprons help, but they are not armour.
